Who is serving whom?

I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the focus on shareholder value. As if the whole community is there to serve those who have and to further increase their wealth. But that is what I, at the most fundamental level, see.

Those who have, get the most.

Those who have, keep the most.

There is this crazy idea that the purpose of a business is to make a profit. A profit for whom? For the employees? For the suppliers? For the customer? For the hosting society? To pay more taxes? Hell no!

The focus on profit is a focus on making those who have richer. How else is it possible that a handful of people have more wealth than the bottom 50% of the worlds population combined?

Because the system is rigged!

If so few people profit from profit then why contribute? We need to redefine profit. We need to redefine success. Success has to make a contribution to the Community. At scale!
